Dr. Eng. Abdul Hakim N. Hassan

Geotechnical and Foundation Engineering

Dr. Hassan has more than 20 years experience in Geotechnical Engineering and more than 30 years in Civil Engineering field. His experience encompasses site investigation and studies in Geotechnical Engineering, as well as foundations and subsurface structures design and construction supervision. He has also an extensive experience in the review and evaluation of Geotechnical Engineering problems, in addition to, rehabilitation and strengthening  of foundations and structures.

Dr. Hassan acquired his Ph.D. (1995) as well as M.Sc. (1991) in Geotechnical Engineering from University of Joseph Fourier (Grenoble I), France. He is a senior lecturer in soil mechanics and foundations at Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, University of Sana’a - Yemen. He has also prepared and performed many training courses in construction of Dams and Irrigation structures, including encountered problems and proposed solutions.
