Consultant Duties

• Conducting site investigation studies and survey works for the existing Water Supply & Distribution System and Sanitation System, and capacity building assessment for institutional management.
• Creating hydraulic models using Water-Cad & Sewer-Cad software.
• Design the required improvements to the water supply and distribution systems as well as expansion of the sanitation system including all civil work, electromechanical work and solar powered submersible pumps.
• Preparing tender documents and cost estimates for all required work and supplies for implementation.

Project features  

1-Rehabilitation and expansion of the sanitation system

      a-      Al-Taweelah Town

• Rehabilitation and Expansion of Wastewater Treatment Plant including:

➢ 1 Screen, Grit Chamber, Parshall Flume & distribution boxes (construction)

➢ 12 Reactors (2 Rehabilitation & 10 Construction)

➢ 3 Settling Tanks (1 rehabilitation & 2 Construction)

➢ 8 Gravel Filters (4 Rehabilitation & 4 Construction)

➢ 8 dry beds (8 Rehabilitation)

➢ 2 Maturation pond (1 Rehabilitation & 1 Construction)

➢ Service Road (Construction)

➢ 1 Guard house (Construction)

➢ Fence (Construction)

• Rehabilitation and restoration of old Marammat (for only rain water drainage).

• Replacement of 0.985 Km for the existing sanitation network with DN 250 mm dia uPVC pipes.

• Expansion of 4.926 Km for the sanitation network with DN 150mm dia UPVC pipes.  

• Supply and construction of 2 Km house connections with DN 160 mm dia uPVC pipes.

• Supply and construction of 226 manhole with different diameters and depth.

• Reinstatement work.

     b-      Makbal village

• Construction of Wastewater Treatment Plant including:

➢ Septic tank (construction)

➢ Cesspit (Construction)

• Construction of 1.903 Km for the sanitation network with DN 150mm and DN 200mm dia UPVC pipes.  

• Supply and construction of 0.75 Km house connections with DN 160 mm dia uPVC pipes.

• Supply and construction of 112 manhole with different depth.

2-Rehabilitation and expansion of the water supply system

• Rehabilitation and development of the 2 existing wells.

• Rehabilitation and development of the 2 existing springs.

• Rehabilitation of 2 (5.5*5.5*2.3m) water tanks.

• Rehabilitation of the existing water supply network.

• Expansion of 1.5 Km for the water supply network with DN 4-inch GI pipes.

• Supply of 2800 connection meters.

• Supply of solar water pumping systems for Al-Kawahil well.

3-Capacity Building

      a-      Supplies

• Supplying of IT Hardware, Furniture, Electric Equipment and Mobile Maintenance Workshop.
